LSU is one of the most talented teams in the country. Frighteningly, most of that talent consists not only of underclassmen but many freshmen and sophomores. These young players have experienced great success early in their careers. Most of the young players have experienced little in the way of adversity. Perhaps this team's accomplishments and adoration have contributed to an attitude (of a few) of entitlement and self gratification over discipline and sacrifice.
I am troubled that an exceptionally talented team may squander an opportunity that comes only to a few teams. The question becomes, is LSU mature enough as a team to win the national championship? They are certainly talented enough. These suspensions may only be a bump in the road or they may foreshadow a larger chemistry problem that not everyone is pulling the wagon in the same direction.
Most LSU fans would be more encouraged if the offending parties showed more contrition than they have to date.

well if the team says they have the 3 players backs than you would be off base IMO

tards maybe but realist know these things happen with young people. It will play itself out so I got no concerns and LSU players don't owe me ANYTHING and anyone who thinks they do are sadly mistaken

And God forbid you voice this concern on the rant.

That's what underclassmen means.

Wait a minute, didn't Alabama just have a bunch of players "suspended indefinitely" over the summer, and some even kicked off the team?

You may be right...

...I may be crazy.

Maybe, maybe not...the fact of the matter is most LSU fans expected this type of success for 2012 with Zach Mettenberger leading the helm under center...

We have not "squandered" anything yet, and I can tell you this...LSU is a very close knit group who plays with the "me against the world" mentality. I do not disagree with your post but don't be surprised if in the next 2 years LSU wins 2 crystal balls...they will easily be a strong contender for the title in 2011, 2012 and 2013...

That being said, Im looking forward to my first game in BDS when we play Bama...should be epic no matter who comes out on top!!
