Here's a small bit of LSU-A&M history for all of you infants out there( ): Billy Cannon- our only Heisman Trophy Winner- had a son (Billy Jr.) who was a top LBer recruit out of Baton Rouge in the very early '80s. When the time came to sign, he signed with Texas A&M. he went on to become an All-American. Go figure.

I still favor the Harvey Williams story. Some older A&M alums claim he changed his mind at the very last second due to A&M's presumption he was heading to College Station.

I was in college at the tail end of the A&M/LSU series in the mid-90s. It always felt like a natural fit. East Texas is borderline coonass in most places anyway.
