That's how Sir Charles ranked the greatest athletes in AU history. Tongue in cheek......maybe. Watching some show "Tide and Tigers Today" on a local station. Can't tell if it's an old interview. But he says that he's above Bo because he's counting his pro career as well. If it's only college, Bo has the edge.

Doesn't include Cam because he only played 14 games.

Charles is just great. I'm sure you barners are glad to have him as a part of your legacy.

And there is PF. I bet he goes as a skeleton every Halloween.

a lot of auburn fans hate charles barkley. I, myself, think he is great. They just take the things he says too seriously.

I like Charles Barkley too.

He did say Saban was top followed by Les.

Said he'd love to play for Les.

maybe auburns greatest basketball, football, and baseball players ever but not their greatest athletes ever... any individual gold medalist or world record holder is a better athlete than one of these teammate relying kind.

Love Chuck. The dude just says whatever he wants and really doesn't care what anyone thinks. Sometimes it bites him in the arse, but it's always good entertainment.

Don't know any of your gymnasts, and I know they are tremendous athletes, but baseball stats (hitters especially) are not reliant on teammates. A lot of individual effort required to be great in basketball as well. And Bo was just a freak.......who played MLB baseball also.

To be honest, if we're talking about careers, you have to put Tim Hudson up there also. Lots of Bama/Braves fans forget that Hudson was a Barner. Maybe not top 3, but he's up there.

You're right, Charles could really play. Shaq sucked arse skill-wise. Only reason he was anything is because of his size. If Charles played Shaq one-on-one he'd beat him by 60 points. I played in the City and Church leagues in the Huntsville area for about 17 years. I bet my free throw percentage was 3 times what Shaq's was.

You may not win that argument here on the LSU/SECRant but i agree, Charles was way more skilled than Shaq.

If Charles took care of his body better he could have had an even better career.

Before Charles got fat and out of shape he was awesome. Even out of shape he was a damn good baller.

Frank Thomas was one hell of a football player too.

True. And people forget what a great player Hudson was at Auburn. He played centerfield when not pitching and led the conference in home runs. Was the SEC player of the year.

When he came out in the draft there was debate among the scouts as to whether he would be a hitter or a pitcher pros - a la some other guys like Micah Owings.

You're the fricking idiot if you think Shaq was any good skill-wise. You make Shaq 6'6" and ANY weight and he'd never have been able to play college ball. Moron.
