Would either fanbases care if we had to quit this game due to A&M + possibly others coming to the conference?

If we lost the LSU/Bama series I would be pretty upset. It's the best game of the year and although Auburn is your natural rival and you probably would rather play Tenn, LSU and Bama is good for the conference.

I think a good portion of the LSU fanbase would want to keep the game, but I wonder if Bama fans are as interested as we are.

Its a great game no doubt, but its not a rivalry so its not like I would freak out or be pissed off about it

i think that bama fans would be more pissed by losing tennessee as their permanent opponent.

I would be most upset about not being able to go to T-Town every other year. I always look forward to this trip.

Damn, so all the bama fans that have posted don't even care? Wouldn't you consider the team to give you the best shot, at least this year, would be us?

Bama fans are right, it's not a rivalry. I wouldn't give a shite if we replaced them with A&M.

This year yes, but team strength comes and goes, 60+ year rivalries are tradition.

I agree. 'Bama would need to win more than 3 of the past 11 for it to have been a rivalry.

I'm greatly perturbed by just the thought of having to give up one of our natural and native games at all to accommodate Aggies or Mizzou or anybody else! Even Ole Miss or Missispissie State!

The Bama LSU game has been towards the end of the season for a loooong time and every year its been a great game.

The only thing I'd really be upset about is having to drop games/move games/whatever just for those queers from College Station. But no, I wouldn't be angry or anything simply about losing the LSU game. While for now its a huge game because the teams are both elite, that comes and goes. Rivalries with Tennessee and Auburn are the games that would cause riots if they're taken away.

I enjoy the game but it would come in 3rd on the list of games I want to keep if we have to end some.

The Aubs tell me that we aren't allowed to keep any of our rivals going forward because we done killt their treeeez, so...
