It's because Saban believes in disciplined play and precision execution. This is pretty much my biggest beef with Mark Richt; the man does not believe in discipline which is why he will never be a great coach.

Oh yeah... he must have really learned that since going to Bama though, because his Michigan State and LSU teams were among the MOST penalized teams.

Ever notice how Saban hovers all over the refs during a game...HE WORKS THEM BETTER THAN ANYBODY...

well, it's interesting that he was never one of the least penalized teams in the country while at lsu.

however, bama, under shula, saban, fran, ect. have always been one of the least.

Richt might not be an alltime great coach, but you don't win multiple SEC TITLES without being a good coach.
