I fully realize that A&M are the new guys, so it's cool to hate on them. But I don't think I'd go as far as to say they have the "least cool" traditions. I honestly find most of them interesting given their military roots and how long they've been around. Especially compared to some SEC school traditions, namely: hotty toddy, rammer jammer, Miss. St.'s cowbells, tigerbait, etc.
I even saw this listed on some website as a "tradition" for Flordia:

I've gotten to know tons of Aggies and 95% of them are great and are what they call "two percenters" which means that's how much effort they put into the traditions. Those that take the traditions as gospel are called "red arse." A&M is one of the best schools in the state of Texas so it attracts a lot of people there for a lot of reasons, and I would guess that the majority of them give two shits about the traditions and wouldn't care if they changed them. Top on the list would be adding female cheerleaders and getting rid of the corps importance/relevance on campus. 100% of the guys I've met who were in the corps are complete dorks...I even worked with one of them that was arrested back in the hazing scandal of the late 90's.

I promise you there are a lot more Aggies that care about our traditions than you think. But go ahead and pretend you know more about our University and our fans than we do.

For the record, the Corps of Cadets is fully-sanctioned by the military. You choose what branch to join as soon as you sign up. As a junior, you choose whether or not to enlist after graduation. If you do, you take basic training over the summers and go into the military as an officer.
