Since when was Auburn University "an animal or crop facility"?
LINK
"Updyke was indicted in May on two counts of criminal mischief, two counts of desecrating a venerable object and two counts of a state law that includes making it unlawful to damage, vandalize or steal any property on or from an animal or crop facility."

I bet there are a shite-ton of prosecutors and defense attorneys who have never even looked at Section 13A-11-153.

Ummmm...forever?
Here is the Leg. comment on that section.
quote:
The Legislature has found and determined that there has been an increasing number of illegal acts committed against animal research and production facilities involving injury to humans or animals, criminal trespass, and damage to property. These acts not only abridge the property rights of the owner of the facility, they also damage the public interest by jeopardizing crucial scientific, biomedical, or agricultural research or production. These actions can also threaten the public safety by exposing communities to serious public health concerns and may substantially disrupt or damage research.

Thank God for aggressive prosecutors who are saving us all from heinous agricultural research vandalism like the acts committed by Updyke. Where would we be without a patriot like the Lee County DA?

Damn, now we have to be associated with people like this? Tree killers and dumbfricks?

You'll get a kick out of this. The next time an AU fan gives you shite about "worshipping" the Bear...bring up the fact that for them to succesfully prosecute Updike under Section 13A-11-12, they must prove that he did the below...
So either the trees are a "public monument" or a "place of worship". ALL IN with false idols.

Surely you aren't this stupid.

It appears that in the end, Harvey Updyke won. He got the Lee County AD to declare Auburn University as an official "animal or crop facility".

Naw, it has always been that. I've sent plenty of soil samples down there for testing. What cracks me up is the "venerated" status for the trees.

I'd consider them a monument.

Wouldn't it be "don't beat bama"?
Also, Bama fans kill trees. Auburn fans kill grass.
