Clemson (won by 3) - most likely a loss. The game went into OT and AU needed a big 3rd quarter comeback and a missed field goal by Clemson to win. Again Cam had 2 passing tds.

Cam had 2 TDs and 2 INTs.

South Carolina (won by 8) - Easily a loss here.

We won by 8, and we ran all over them. They couldn't stop anyone. We were down early because of 2 fumbles in the 1st half that they scored 14 points on. We came back because of 2 fumbles that we scored points on in the 2nd half. Obviously, I can't say we definitely would have won, but saying this would have easily been a loss is dumb.

Someone already mentioned this, but no one knows what our offense would have looked like with someone elss at the helm. With Malzahn and that o-line, it definitely would have still been great. Our offense and the other teams defensive gameplan would have been completely different. To say that we would have won or lost a game without Cam Newton is stupid.

Someone already mentioned this, but seriously, there is no way Bama even sniffs a BCS NC in 2009 without Ingram. Where's Florida without Tebow? Why is this argument about Cam Newton constantly being made. It's ridiculous.

Because he was BOUGHT! There was no scandal about Tebow or Ingram was there?!

Once again, go back and look at the scoring recap and stats for the game and your eyes will be opened.

This is my take on it. Remember just an opinion:

I think Newton was more irreplacable on a team like Auburn that had a poor defense (based on how many points they gave up every game) than Tebow was on a team like Florida that had a good defense (highly ranked in most statistical categories). Florida had a better chance of winning games than Auburn did because Florida also had a defense that could keep them in games in addition to Tebow. Its the same with Alabama. Teams that are built on defense dont require great playmakers on offense. Look at LSU. Auburn needed Newton to keep them in games on a regular basis. This whole debate is based on irreplacability (dont quote me on that word). I believe Newton was the most irreplacable player that I have seen in a long time. This is probably why this issue is brought up so much.
