We have an administration that tries to hire the cheapest option at head coach. We could get Malzahn, Kirby Smart, or Gary Patterson if we REALLY REALLY wanted to. Our athletic department is just to cheap and dumb to do so.

In a perfect world. Boone is fired along with Nutt. But this isnt a perfect world.

Yeah maybe Patterson is a stretch. I believe he would sit and think about it though.

Isn't TCU building all kinds of snazzy facilities and what not?

Yeah plus it wouldn't be in our best interest to get in a bidding war with them. Like I said, it's a stretch, but any time you get an offer from an SEC school, you're going to at least sit and think about it.

I think he play book is similar to the one I used to run on Tecmo Bowl. Its really a joke. He calls the plays and has an on paper OC so when things go bad like on Saturday. Its not his fault, to the casual fan. He is so egotistical that it makes me sick. He never admits he was wrong. Just says shite like gotta stop the turnovers or shoulda had that one. Nutt was great when he can come in and win with someone elses talent, 08 and 98. But when it comes to running a successful program he just doesnt have it, IMO.

let me go back in my time machine and find 7 billion posts just like this....I'm giving the preemptive :obsessesd:

I really think y'all should hire a younger guy. I'm not flaming or anything, but there seems to be very little excitement surrounding yalls football team. Having a coach with some energy does a lot for a fanbase. Thats why I hope we go after Diaz when Mullen leaves.

Outside of Patterson, my top choices would be Malzahn or Kirby Smart. That's just me though

I've been thinking ever since he got hired that Gunter Brewer will eventually be a head coach at Ole Miss.

I never really thought about Brewer. He would have to be the o-coordinator for a couple of years before i would be comfortable with that move.

If Nutt's gone at the end of the season I don't know how serious of a look Brewer will get, but it wouldn't surprise me if Brewer got it if Nutt is around a couple more years.
