So what does Saban do?

Bothers the shite out of Kirby.

Saban stays in Kirby's grill all game long. It's hilarious to watch. McElwain better count himself lucky he is in the box.

Or, any other head coach for that matter?

Petrino and Mullens are both VERY active in the offensive side of the ball. Spurrier is obviously completely in control of every aspect of his team... well, except his QB. Stoops is in everybody's grill all game long, players, coaches, ref's, hell, he prolly even antagonizes the cheerleaders.

One game does not a year make.

Holland, so I have been told, should be good with some experience. A couple of other young guys looked decent in small sports of pt. Bates, Evans and Gaston are back ups at best on a good sec d.

This could be the funnest post week 1 I have experienced. Auburn fans are running around like chicken's with their heads cut off:

Size isn't the issue. Utah State was bigger than us!

The secondary looked good. The secondary looked like shite!

We couldn't stop the run! Let's play a 5-2-4, that'll stop em!

We don't have the personel yet! Chizik should have his guys by now!

We don't stand a chance verse MSU. We will beat MSU by 10 pts!

This is a precursor for the rest of the season. The most improvment happens between weeks 1 and 2!!

Bates is not only a terrible LB, he is dirty. He is the one that put that spear on Parker last year (Clemson's QB). They are gonna be looking for revenge in that game too for that shite.

Y'all should seriously just offer Bates up as a human sacrifice to Clemson in hopes that they take it easy on you.

It is the sample size we have available at this point. If you would be more comfortable with it, I will refer to it as "year 3" for Chizik...rather than stating it has been "3 years".

Best of luck to the young man.

Chizik is a D guy. Why in year 3 is this the case? Your fellow AU fans are quick to point out recruiting success...

Size isn't the issue, it's the personel. We've proven that we can win with smaller defenses.

The secondary could be good if the play calling was better.

I never said it would stop them, but would it hurt to try?

Weak 2008 and 2009 classes are preventing this.

lolwut

Noone has said this

I didn't see an Auburn fan say this, but I did see a UGA and UF fan say it. So...

Gus is the only mother fricker on that campus that knows what he is doing. When CGM leaves The Barn will go to shite and they will fire the Chiz. They need to go ahead and hire Gus as the head coach before he leaves for another job.

Isn't Chizik's record at AU something like 23-5? That's off to a pretty good start.

If you are talking about sample size you could say 2 years and not try to exaggerate. We haven't recruited well at lb and the ones we have are freshmen our sophomores. It really isn't difficult to understand.

Straight up. Do you see Gene Chizik as the head coach of Auburn University lifting another crystal ball?

My post was just instances I have seen in the past day of Auburn fans arguing amongst themselves. It has taken my mind off the worries I have with my own team.

If we hire another DC, who calls better plays and is more aggressive, I could see it as a possibilty in 2013 or 2014.

Who knows? We should be in the conversation in 2013 if the program continues on its current pace.

Are you sure. I'm almost positive it was Bates. I know for a fact that Bates had some REALLY dirty hits in that game and I was pretty sure he was the one that got Parker too.
