To the Newbies (Arky and Carolina fans)

Here's a challenge for the new guys (Arkansas and Carolina):
Go to your school library and look up old newspaper articles on microfilm regarding the jump to the SEC (when you joined the SEC in 1990) and post some of them here. (You could take a picture of the screen or print out the article on paper and scan it.)
I'm curious to read about the reactions when it was announced (or discussed prior to the announcement).
ETA: this came about from a discussion on Expansion Chronology in 1990 in the Conference Expansion board.
