You have never been. There's not a single quaint or genteel thing about it.
There are some live oaks, but the asphalt-to-live oak ratio is really high.
There is a little area adjacent to campus with some bars, but its kinda forced and crammed behind some other buildings, adjacent to a 6-lane thoroughfare.
Their gameday stuff appeals to some people (obviously) but its just really different. Lots of shaved heads and butch women in khaki.
