I will say it now, what they did to coach Pel was not right. If given one more year to bring his players in he would have been successful. Jeff long is a douche and listened to the wrong people in making a go back decision. Had they not made a run around behind the back move to get MA then Pel would still be the coach now. I think he will get another opportunity soon and will be successful.

It was time. I liked Pel personally and I believe he bled red, and I gave him the benefit of the doubt due to the frickin' mess the program was in when he got here.
I don't think he's a bad coach, he just ran out of time. It's unfortunate that his best recruiting class is coming in right after he was dismissed, and Mike Anderson better be thanking Pel every day for putting the class together.
But, as I said, as far as I am concerned - the sand just ran out of the glass before he could get it turned around. And it's not completely his fault. Good luck to Pel in the future, except against Arkansas.
