Does anyone in the know have more info about this possibility?

Gary Taylor, who is the treasurer of the LSU Tarrant Tiger Alumni Chapter, has the feeling the Tigers will be making regular visits to Cowboys Stadium.
"It was wild last year at the Cotton Bowl," Taylor said, "especially on game day, when you had 3,000 tailgating. Right now, there's talk about what could be an annual LSU-TCU series in Dallas beginning in 2013. I know one thing: Those folks love the crowds the Tigers bring, the numbers, the enthusiasm."

Nice matchup but just one more home game we lose.

How far is Dallas from BR?

there will not be an annual LSU-TCU series..
although it would be a pretty funny f-u to UT and TAMU

About 8 hours w/ stops.

Yeah that would definitely suck then. It's not like you need the game for recruiting exposure so I would probably want to pass on it as well.

irrelevant really. There are enough LSU fans/alumni in DFW.
Second largest alumni base behind Houston, i believe.

Big East vs. SEC playing in Texas. Never thought I'd see that.

Verge Ausberry says it is not so.
I just got this email from him: At current time we have a home and home with TCU. If TCU wants to play their home game in Cowboy stadium that is their call, but we have no intention of taking our home game to Dallas.
Thanks,
Verge Ausberry Jr.

ive always made the drive in just under 8 hours.
we do have a huge alum base in big d so its not horrible playing there so at least some out of state alums get a bone every now and then.

On a positive note, this could help get LSU more attention when it comes to recruiting Texas

I doubt that LSU wants to see Arkansas and TAMU push them out of the DFW market..
although it would probably be better to have a yearly game in Houston

Hmm that's a good point. Personally I love going to our game in Dallas but we split our home games anyways all over the state as is so what does it matter if we play one more outside of Fayetteville.

Thanks. I could see Lsu having an annual game there. But not with the likes of TCU.

Dallas is a different animal for LSU, in that Arkansas has a strong alumni base there also (and Alabama and Ole Miss), so any additional exposure that can help pull in recruits is good.
Houston is different in that its basically UT, TAMU and LSU.

We need to change this to a LSU/UT game at Reliant Stadium in Houston!

It's already been mentioned but these "neutral site" games are for one reason, RECRUITING.
