I know this is a tough question, but who is the best SEC champion since the conference went to divisional play? I'm going to go with 1992 Alabama or 2008 Florida.

'10 Auburn, simply because Cam was unstoppable. '04 Auburn would be pretty high as well.

Either 1996 Florida or 2008 Florida. I'll go with 2008 Florida by a hair because I believe their defense was better. '96 Florida gave up 20 more points in seven of their games while '08 Florida gave up 20 or more in only three of their games.

'96 UF or '08 UF. Both teams could stop you with excellent defense and score a ton of points offensively. Both were very balanced, efficient teams.

I know it pains you to say so, but 2010 Auburn should be in the discussion

TT's Towel neither of those Auburn teams would be the best. The 04 Auburn team won the league when it was down, and was down to a 6-6 Alabama team at half. The 2010 squad easily could have lost 5 games. 04 is better than 2010 though.

2008 UF also lost to Ole Miss. No matter what the circumstances facing 2010 Auburn were, they found a way to win every single game

No... They had a shitty defense.

2009 Alabama doesn't blow a 24-0 lead against Auburn. 2008 florida would have put up over 30 points against that 2010 Auburn defense.

They did lose to Ole Miss, but that doesn't change my opinion at all.

In your opinion.. Which is what this thread is.

But but but, they went undefeated.

I'm more impressed with point differential and overall dominance than just going undefeated. I mean, did anybody consider '04 Pittsburgh or '09 Indianapolis to be one of the greatest teams of all-time during their run. I sure as hell didn't.

I would love to say you're right but I can't. '09 Alabama had Greg McElroy as their QB who was downright terrible for most of the year and that knocks them down a notch. '96 Florida had Danny Wuerrfel as their starting QB, '08 Florida had Tim Tebow, '09 Alabama Greg McElroy. Yeah, not exactly the same.

Or a complete homer thread, in which you excel in.

SEC was also much easier in 2008. Florida got very shitty LSU and Arkansas teams, and their schedule was easier in general

Nah. 2004 Auburn would be in the discussion long before 2010 Auburn. Last year's Auburn team had perhaps the worst defense of any SEC Champion since 1992. And their offense wasn't even as good as 2008 Florida.

I'm still waiting on a list of said running backs that are better than Bo. I won't hold my breathe.

Is REALLY high. I still can't believe they lost to Ole Miss that year.
