It WAS commitable, he just waited too long. He really wanted either Bama or LSU all along, and its looking like he will get his Bama offer

I just can't see it happening just yet. I can only see Alabama take 4 DBs, and Eddie Williams is already committed. Cyrus Jones is a very good possiblity, and that leaves a handful of other guys ahead of Humes, right now, for two spots. I'd love to be wrong though. I hate seeing in-state talent overlooked.

Cyrus Jones
Isn't it a AU/UA battle? And what does he play CB or S?

Not unless Auburn has decided to offer every DB Alabama has.

He's been offered for a while, and he was down for BCW

I have heard no mention of him putting Auburn in his top three, or making a return visit. He's visited Alabama twice.
And it's getting kind of ridiculous. Do you actually think Auburn is going to take Deon Bush, Geno Smith, Cyrus Jones, in addition to what is already committed? This is starting to sound like all the RBs Auburn is "going to take", when Yeldon think he's "the only RB in the class".

He told me Bama was more than likely going to offer at yalls next camp. LSU is full at DB, but hes still going to go to our camp. But Bama is recruiting him as hard if not harder than State at this point, and it really started up at the beginning of the summer. You think Geno gave Bama word that made them move in on Chris?

For the second straight year, Alabama and Auburn will slug it out for a top recruit out of the state of Maryland.

I'm not sure where Humes would play. And unless Geno Smith or Cyrus Jones was to commit this summer, I don't expect to see either CB spot filled until the fall.

I saying I'm not sure where he would play at Alabama. He hasn't been mentioned much among the CBs that Alabama is actively pursuing. I've seen his name come up more when safeties are talked about.

Not Jones, I think he's Bama bound. But I definitely think we get Smith, and have a great shot with Bush.

Holsey is all we have right now as for DBs

I really don't know where you got this from. I know Yeldon personally, and he knows he may not be the only back in this class, and was never told such. He was told he was the #1 priority at RB, but because of depth we'd try to sign another

Hmmm, well what he's told me is that he is being recruited as a pure CB and being recruited very hardly at that..

Several of your fellow AU faithful contend that Auburn leads for Jovon Robinson, Keith Marshall, and have a very good shot at Rushel Shell because of family ties. When Yeldon was in the process of committing to Auburn, several Tiger fans suggested he would pick Auburn because they would only take one RB. I had even seen some quotes from a couple of articles with Yeldon saying as much.

I'll take it as such then.

He said when he committed he would play RB, Wildcat qb, and slot receiver. I have never read him saying he would be the only back taken in this class.

We have a shot with Jovon, but not with the others. Those who said that were being a little too homer.

Then they're stupid, like a lot of AU fans honestly

I see Humes as a FS he is too big to play corner at 195.

He is 205 now and still runs a legit 4.4 and has a 4.0 shuttle. Ran a 4.37 laser at Auburns camp.. LAST YEAR
