because he NFL is a league of professionals where simple gets you fired or out of the league

The NFL is also one of the most rigid systems on the planet, it is very resistant to change. "that'll never work in the NFL" and Miami's wildcat ran all over the NFL. "a QB can't run in the NFL" and Vick has shown it can be used effectively when done smart. The NFL is very resistant to change because people are afraid of being fired, you have a lot of inbreeding when it comes to offensive ideology; ie. someone gets fired from one program and hired at another.

I would put our chances of getting him as slim, for Auburn. Auburn put stipulations that if he could make summer practice they'd be open to the idea of him coming in and competing. I think this would be a big mistake on Auburn's part, he will be here for 1 year and be gone Trotter will likely transfer out as well as Mosley, which will leave us with just KF and him. Just a bad decision. I understand Auburn coach's idea behind this as Trotter is not giving 100% right now but this has bad idea written all over it.

On offense, that is true.

On defense, the NFL has some of the best, most innovative coaches you can find. They have to be considering how the NFL Rules Committee changes the rules to stop them more and more very year.

For half a season. Defenses figured it out and stopped it.

Teams quit running it.
