Take a look at how many times they touched the ball in their respective yrs.

Bo 282 touches 1859 yds 17 TD's 6.8 yds per play
Ingram 303 touches 1992 yds 20 TD's 6.6 yds per play

Not to mention.. Bo led Auburn to 4 losses against a much weaker schedule than Ingram had to go against, who led Bama to a perfect season.

So ingram had 133 more yards on 21 more carries. Bo averaged 6.8 a touch so with the extra 21 carries he would have finished with roughly 9 more yards than MI. Hope MI doesn't blow out his knee like Bo

Different eras. The SEC did not throw the ball as much back in 1985, so Bo definitely wasn't going to receive the ball like Ingram did.

When you compare them as RUNNING backs, there *is* no comparison.

Bo - 1786 yds, 17 TDs in 12 games
Ingram - 1658 yds, 17 TDs in 14 games

And, considering the evidence you posted above, you have proven definitively that the 2009 Heisman Trophy Award winner should have been... Toby Gerhart.

Ingram - 303 touches, 1992 yds, 20 TD's
Gerhart - 354 touches, 2028 yds, 28 TD's

I repeat... Ingram wasn't the best RB in the country, much less the best player.

Ingram wasn't the best player on the 2009 bama team.
