Hopefully Mo Couch doesn't overtake him when he arrives. This will make QBs and interior OL feel quite uncomfortable all game long.

He was just 12 or 13 and didn't participate in the rape. 10 years for a 12 year old not stopping a 17 year old would be a bit harsh imo.

Who got arrested last night?

Awww, he's such a sweet guy. He feels sorry for what he has done and promised his cousin he'd make it up to her by getting her some tickets this fall. What a nice guy, build a statue.

Because the incident was eight years ago when the kid was 13? Not to mention he was younger than the victim, who has since given him her blessing.

No one is claiming he's a saint, but there's no reason he shouldn't be able to continue on with his life at this point.

So if he helped rape your daughter with a plunger, you'd root him on and it'd be cool with you? Afterall, it was 8 years ago....

Fathers of victims have no say so in sentencing or punishments in this country, and rightfully so.

That's why I asked him his opinion...if he'd feel any differently or still be as forgiving.

I don't know why you made this thread, knowing the reaction it would get.

I wouldn't be a fan. However, he was younger than the victim. I wouldn't think he should just be denied a future.

I'm not really being forgiving. I'm not going to give you some silliness about 'we all made mistakes' because that doesn't really make this okay. I just don't think that failing to stop a crime at 13 should deny him the chance to play at 21.

I just can't help but wonder how supportive you'd be of not "denying him his future" as a D1 football player if he happened to wear O&B. I'm sure you and other vols would still feel the same way and be all about his future
