that was a great game. Had the feel of a Sweet 16 type game. Still, I have no idea what the Colorado point guard was thinking or trying to do at the end of the game.
But,that's not the Tide's problem.

I had my doubts in the last 5 minutes of the game, but they came through.

I hope 'Bama wears those TR Dunn/Leon Douglas uniforms from '75-'76 Thursday.

I honestly thought the way Green acted when he fouled out was going to cost us the game. I was very happy to see the team fight through that and pull out the victory.

I missed the end of the game...
I tried so hard but I fell asleep. I thought for sure they lost as they were losing when I fell asleep. (like somehow my falling asleep created bad luck for the team
) It might just be the NIT but I have enjoyed watching them continue to play. Even my wife has been getting into it.

me too! the game wasn't over at ALL. stop pouting and being negative. be a leader and stand up and cheer your team to a win! yell/scream/encourage!

Is there a short description of what went on?

Alabama scored with about :12 left ,so Colorado had plenty of time and timeouts left. Got the ball past midcourt and called time with about :08 left. Tossed it into Alec Burks -- who did have a great game and is a heckuva scorer. But he danced around the perimeter and never penetrated (Alabama did play good D) but he's not Jordan. Guy never looked for a teammate and threw up a 3 when they only needed a 2 that wasn't a real good shot.

I am kinda glad I missed that. I wouldn't have been able to fall asleep for a while after that.

I dunno if it was Bama's D that forced a bad shot at the end he just stood there with the ball for 5 seconds. But if the Buffs coach called that play he should be fired. They should have given the ball to #24 who was lights out in the 2nd half. I was impressed with Coach Grants calmness when Bama got down. Bama's D looks like some of those great Arkansas teams from the mid 90's they really get after it and contest every shot and every pass.

He wasn't really pouting. He was just angry at himself for committing such a stupid foul for his 5th. He was leading the cheers from the bench once he calmed down, and was the first on the floor to celebrate when the buzzer sounded.

I don't want to argue with you but Green really needs to get his head on straight out there. He gets so upset and then falls apart. The worst part about his last foul was not that it was his last, it was that it came with 4 seconds on the shot clock. That's just not very hoops smart.
I'm shocked he hasn't gotten kicked out of a game this year for pushing/shoving but I guess that goes both ways. He definitely brings a physical presence to our team (as does Hines).
Should be a good year next year. Green frustrates me but I'm really glad he's returning.

He's not mentally ready to try pro ball, especially the NBA. He'll likely be playing overseas when he leaves Bama.
We should be tough in 2011-12 if we land a couple of perimeter shooters.

Oh, I agree with you and I've been very critical of Green since his freshman year.
I just didn't see his reaction as pouting last night. He knew immediately it was a very stupid foul at a critical juncture of the game. He appeared more angry at himself than anything.
I do think he showed some maturity once he got to the bench and calmed down though, so maybe he's growing up.
