MS guys... What are the chances Anthony Alford never steps foot in a college

Classroom or weight room?
It seems that if LSU offers he is ours to lose. Bama just offered recently and I guess we might offer next, but given his success in baseball we might hold out. Especially after losing Zach Lee to 5.8 million. If we don't get Randall(2011 QB considering LSU and GT) I could see us giving him an offer
Where do you guys see him going in the MLB draft and do you think he is one that would turn down the money for the college experience?

Trust me, he has done plenty of that already. Just go read the articles about him.

Nobody begged like Tyler Wilson and Knile Davis though

If he played any of other position besides QB I would think he'd stay in college and play both. Unless kids are offered above two mil now a days its stupid to go straight to MLB if you have a shot at playing in the NFL. Its such an easier path in football. But I just cant see a QB playing baseball as well. So he's going to have to chose and I have no idea which it would be.

We have had them leave for less. There is also the chance he could pull a Mauck or Booty and come back if he finds out he won't make it in the MLB. Then he could just concentrate on FB. I agree though I don't see him staying at QB.

We've kinda touched on him before. Only a few have seen him play football and none have seen him play baseball. He was the top QB in the state last year and is wild athletic. No one really knows what sport he's leaning towards. Honestly I doubt he knows until he gets the MLB offer

How good is Alford in baseball?
If he's real good, I'm not sure if the rant is ready to handle another MLB casualty.

That would be funny, but it would suck if it happened to us next

He's probably going to get Major money in the draft so I think he's going. If he slips down some in the draft order and doesn't like the figure they throw at him say anything under seven figures I think he goes to college. Top three would be LSU Bama and OM. He would be a two sport athlete on campus ala Senquez Golson for OM. Does that help?

Not really. Pretty much what I already knew.
Thanks for trying though, never hurts to
I was hoping someone had seen him play some or knew what the scouts were thinking about him.
We were able to keep Jacoby Jones after giving him a full scholarship for Baseball, but I doubt we would do the same for Alford if he is a FB recruit as well. The Full scholarship turned off alot of MLB teams though. Enough to Drop Jones to the 6th round.

If he goes to college it will be to LSU. Word is Maineri loves Alford and has offered him but Les isn't showing him as much love
