The quality is so poor, honestly, ANYONE could be saying those lines. But I thought you all would like to hear anyway.

I heard "200 thousand from Auburn" and then "I think thats a fair price" and then "give me a call back." Other than that, it was a jumbled up mess. That doesn't sound like a man old enough to be Cecil either. I'm guessing that the person on that recording is Kenny Rogers.

Yeah, I thought the same thing about not sounding old enough to be Cecil. I noticed there was another thread about this after I posted it but I dont think it has the cleaned up version so maybe I wont get flamed too hard haha.

As said before, this is nothing new.
Many people have even said Cecil was shoping MSU with fake offers from other schools to try and get them to pay up.

The quality of those recordings + the unclear speech and pronunciation/accent/dialect of the speaker = gobblydeegook.

exactly. he lied about an offer and then decided to go to one of the schools. that sounds right.
