Just because we sing it doesn't mean we think we beat the hell out of you.
It's a cheer that is played after every game, not something that is necessarily meant to be taken literally.

I agree with you, its just kind of ironic when the game came down to the wire and we are the worst team in basketball. I laughed when I heard it played but I don't blame Bama for playing it. Good comeback tonight...

Doesn't bother me, it is part of the Tide tradition and class (wink, wink), it is to be expected. But why does it bother Alabama when Auburn does it back to Alabama?
