I think Alabama could shed themselves in a better light by picking and choosing when to do this chant. I do not think it is approprate for a close hard fought game.

I think this argument is a bit silly. It's a taunt, nothing more.
If I was a Tide fan, I'd only want them to do it for dominant wins, unless they were playing Tennessee or Auburn, in which case I would always want them to do it. Just my opinion, though. I don't have a problem with them doing it.
I'm glad they didn't do it to Mississippi State this past year. I wish they didn't do it to Georgia State, but it's not as big a deal because there were like 30,000 people left at the time they did it.

In all seriousness, I think he would have missed it, just looking at the spot where the ball was blocked. Lincoln was probably the worst kicker I've ever seen start 4 years at a school. I think a healthy Palardy will be good for us, though.
On another note, wasn't Lincoln a first team All-American his freshman year?
Not sure how that happened, considering we obviously had a better kicker the previous year and Lincoln wasn't even special his freshman year, missing important field goals as well. I think he would have missed it too. I know y'all hated that game, but as a Bama fan, that will go down as one of the greatest wins for me. BDS went wild when that kick was blocked. One of the loudest moments I can remember at BDS. My brother wouldn't even watch. That puss kept his head down till he heard the crowd.

Agreed. I had a student guest ticket that game, and there was no better place to be right then. Right in that endzone. I was praying to anyone and everyone who might help at that moment!
