ESPN
quote:

But the more serious charge of failure to monitor was slapped on Kiffin … and not Tennessee.

For Dooley and the current team, that’s a huge win.

The violations outlined in the NCAA’s report could end up costing the Vols some recruiting visits, limit who goes out on the road during contact periods and maybe even dock them a scholarship or two, although precedent in similar cases suggests scholarship reductions probably won’t be one of the penalties handed down by the NCAA.

Kiffin has also been hit with a failure to promote an atmosphere of compliance charge. The levying of these two charges against the former coach rather than the Vol program represents a last-minute appeal by Tennessee to avoid the saddling of the program itself with the penalties. Instead, Tennessee deftly stepped aside and served up the head of Kiffin to the NCAA.

I'm pretty sure Alahunter said that an LOIC is still in the cards for Tennessee, and that the notice of allegations made public today does not look good for UT football.

I trust him more than ESPN.

Thank goodness the guy left. I think we would have gotten our asses handed to us if he was still here.

That is fair in my opinion and that is exactly what should have happened. No reason to puncish the decent people because of what that prick did. USC will be so disappointed that they hired him before long. He is an embarrassment to himself, his father, and college football in general.

Who could have seen this coming?

That's a nice effort by Clay Travis to cover up the fact that his previous article was crappy journalism.

After considering everything that has happened, I'm much happier with having Kiffin for a year instead of another year of Fulmer.

great news.

Does USCw have to eat any particular penalty OR
is this just on his "permanent record"
so it adds to the case against him as a person and coach?
