I have been supportive of Mississippi State's head coach Rick Stansbury throughout his career, but after last night's collapse I think its time that we make a move.

Here is my short list of coaches I'd want to strongly look at as Stansbury's replacement.

1. Gregg Marshall- Wichata State
2. Shaka Smart- VCU
3. Chris Mooney- Richmond
4. Ben Jacobson- Northern Iowa
5. Chris Collins- Ast Duke

Let me know your thoughts and if there are any other coaches you think we should look at.

The refs take one game form State and you want to replace the coach. Please tell me how the coach could have stopped the refs last night. What would you have done, beside fire the coach?

The refs didn't cost us to blow a 19 point lead. Stansbury never called any timeouts or made any adjustments during the run Auburn made. It was a total collapse. No excuses blaming it on the refs.

Hiring a BB Coach is such crapshoot, unless you are one of the big programs (ie KY). They have to fit your recruiting base or you will continue to spin your wheels.

I can see clearly that you are just like all the democrats on here that have their minds made up and no one can change your opinion.

Rant on..........

I have been on Stansbury's side for a LONG time, but this season has been a disaseter.

1. Sidney and Bost's suspensions early in the season.
2. Losing to Eastern Tenn State and Florida Atlantic inexcusable.
3. The Sidney/Bailey fight in Hawaii on National TV
4. Losing 4 out of 5 during the holidays.
5. Bailey and Beckham quitting the team.
6. Ravern Johnson tweeting calling out coach Stansbury, and getting suspended for it.
7. Losing to lowly Auburn last night blowing a 19 point lead in the final 8 minutes of the game.

Definitely burns if you're a State fan. Been a tough year on the hardwood.

Seriously? There were a couple of bad calls, but the refs didn't make State get comically sloppy on offense in the last 5 or 6 minutes of the game. They should have won that game fairly comfortably despite blowing the big lead. If you want an instance where the refs fricked someone look at the last 90 seconds of Vandy vs. Bama or the last possession of UTk vs. UGA.

I would like for you to explain to me why keeping Standsbury is a good idea?

We lack a normal college strength program

We lack any discipline what-so-ever

We have had one team in the last 6 years that didnt have to win the SEC Tourney to make the NCAA's

We have constant transfers that keep us from having any decent depth or a solid group of Seniors

Standsbury is the only coach at a BCS school for 10 years or more without making a Sweet 16

The only jobs that Grant would take are one of the bluebloods or UF.

Did not know that, but thanks for that tidbit of info C34.

If Scott Stricklin has any balls he will fire Stans and hire Gregg Marshall from Witchata State.

Comments like this is why everyone thinks (read: Knows) that you are a complete fricking idiot.

There is so much failure in this one sentence that it's almost unbelievable. I say almost because your name is by it.

I dont think anybody has chimed in on who we should replace Stans with...

My Number 1 choice is Gregg Marshall who is the HC at Wichata State. His team is currently 21-5 and leading the Missouri Valley Conference.
