...this weekend.

Is this simply because it's a big recruiting weekend and they're trying to uncover dirt as to that Nunn party?

Or could it be that they have information that something is going to break loose soon?

Thayer Evans...on the case.

clearly its a recruiting ploy to show recruits the attention they can get Auburn.

Jesus himself came in for the big weekend. That rare appearance brings a lot of media to town.

If the foil hatters across the webz - including some in orange & blue - are right; a presser won't be necessary.

Only report I have read or heard is that Evans might be in town. Evans reputation and job depends on him finding something on Auburn due to his continued obsession with the Cam stuff (him and Shane from Centerpoint must be suck buddies). My guess is the higher-ups at Fox told him to find something or find another job.

I saw on one of the barner forums that Evans is definitely there and that a couple of other reporters have also been spotted.

Evans is apparently there through Wednesday.

It seems very likely that he's trying to get a jump on the news that many assume will break when the surveillance information goes public and/or the arrests that are rumored to go down tomorrow or Tuesday.

You gotta hand it to the guy; he's trying to uncover this story - if it exists - and get it out there. He's a brave soul to go to auburn for several days.

Nice try, but the reports from the Auburn sites talk about Evans and a blogger who does not claim to be in Auburn (just reporting about a party in Auburn). Having multiple reports makes it sound better, but that is how rumors get blown up this time of year.

I would like to know why the Rumor Mill thread was pulled and this garbage is allowed to stay up?

I don't really give two shits about thayer evans or any other reporters being in auburn...I just find it curious that many people (barners in barn land) claim he is (they are).

I also don't necessarily believe auburn will be wrapped up in these federal investigations. However, I do find the investigations, the players and how they're all intertwined very interesting.

What is Thayer gonna do in Auburn? Cam isn't there anymore.

I don't think he knows how to write about anything besides Cam.

I don't think he's there solely for the party at the Chameleon...he certainly wouldn't stay 4-5 days for a 1-night party.

He wants to get the jump on the Fed's cases and how the players tie into auburn athletics...obviously.

Innocence normally demands great publicity. The is proven by the fact that all the major news services have 119 or 120 news teams to cover all the schools.
