Baseball will just be an issue with him. Expect MLB to draft him pretty highly, which means a big contract.

expect LSU to get a real serious look at him because of baseball. JMO ofcourse I dont have any real knowledge but if he loves baseball how could he notlook at a program with this much history.

He could play baseball at Alabama as well. Regardless, if he plays baseball it will be professionally. If he plays football, he'll most likely just focus on that, because of the timing of spring practice and the nature of the position he plays in football.

You can believe me or not, but I know this kid personally, and have strong connections to him, i can promise you hes all football, he plays on a baseball team in the summer called bases loaded out of birmingham and hes good im not gonna lie, but hes a better football player, this past summer he wasnt so committed to baseball, he missed lots of showcases and tournaments for football. Hes going to bama, his family is well off and money isnt everything to them, hes a very humble kid and i think he could be a stud football player if he put on some weight. Hes going to college for football, his mother wouldnt let him go in the draft if he wanted to.

obviously you have never been recruited by people. At some point or another you compare what you have to offer that is better than others. At no point does that make it negative recruiting. now if you are trashing the school, yea thats negative.

When it comes to kids they are going up against Bama for, they do a hell of a lot more than just mention us. I have a relative who is in coaching in the Bham area. He tells me that one of his players was being lightly recruited by both schools, and some of the shite the Auburn coaches were telling this kid...you'd never believe it.

Saban is notorious for never mentioning another school when recruiting a kid. There have been several kids that ultimately chose Alabama because of this.

I feel he ultimately chooses football too, but baseball is going to give him a lot to think about. It will be tough to turn down what they offer. That's not to say he won't, because Justin Woodall had the same decision.

true but LSu baseball is a better program than Bama baseball. just my honest opinion. I hope TK is right though. Bama needs to win the state in 2012.

Trust me hes going to play football, i cant however promise you hes a bama lock, if he stays in state he will go to bama, however the last time i talked to him (sometime shortly before christmas) he was saying the only two schools he really liked were bama and florida state. He spoke very highly of florida state

I realize that, but his focus is going to be on football. He probably eventually gives up baseball, if he doesn't head off to the minors. The nature of the QB position is going to make it tough to play baseball is college. Spring is one of the most important times in a QB's development.

They were apparently telling him he would (not could) start as a freshman, told him about all the girls that their players got to hook up with, told him that their players are rock stars and can get pretty much whatever they want. They also told him that at Bama they run a boot camp where only the upperclassmen play and most of the young guys get their asses kicked on the scout team for 2 years. Basically they just promise the world to them. Football is barely even discussed beyond where they fit in on the depth chart or how much they will get the ball.

This is second hand info, so you can believe it or not. I have a hard time believing some of it. I don't see so many kids falling for that kind of bullshite. Just what I have heard.

Some info on calloway gathered after basketball game..........

Only demand made by CNS to calloway upon arriving today to Ttown;
* calloway had to turn his phone off and leave it off. CNS told calloway he didnt need to be distracted with what Saban described as "telemarketing calls from those guys in west georgia".

It is also said that calloway has been informed that auburn is not exactly on stable grounds due to the newton mess and that a reporter from the NYT is on auburns campus this very moment.

CNS has told calloway he can play HB due to our limited number of big HB's we have. If calloway decides to switch to D, he will end up in the secondary and not at LB'er.

everything that has been said has caught the attention of calloway and as a result, he will now delay his decision until he speaks with his parents. staff feels very confident about calloway and that calloway now understands who is being truthful and who's telling lies.

with that said, i believe he will make the switch back to UA..... where he really wants to be.

As has been pointed out repeatedly in this forum, that's because he leaves that job to his assistants.

Which is pretty much what every SEC head coach does.

And Saban does it too? WOW! GIVE LIL NICK A LITTLE DEBBIE SNACK CAKE!

We all know none of that BS is true. Auburn is an honest school. Its all about God there. Thats why so many players go there. Its just on their hearts, and the coaching staff really does make it feel like a family.

I can't see the staff saying that.
