Les Miles goes 62 and 17. Has the most wins in school history, and half of the fans think he needs to go. I just don't understand it. Even as bad as I think Crowton is he has still been a part of those wins. Do LSU fans really think they should win every game?

It may seem like 50 per cent on this board. But if you polled the Tiger Fans in Tiger stadium and those that perhaps dont get on this board, I believe that you would find that about 70 per cent or more support Miles. As with any school, you get a crazy loss or almost crazy loss and a lot of fans go beserk. I can admit, after our loss to you guys last year in the fashion that it happened , I was even clamoring, but this year I settled down.

^^^^^
yep...this is huge part of their fan bases problem. they win a couple nc's even with a loss or 2 and they think they should be playing for it every year. as soon as they realize they likely won't be they turn on miles like a snake....i'm shocked he didn't leave...wonder what the real story is

62-17 not 67-17

You're 0-1

Not even close.

You're 0-2

I don't know of a single LSU fan who wants Miles fired

You're 0-3

Maybe because their coach doesn't tell them how lucky they are to win two bowl games in 50 years?

Because they sucked for eons, then they were good. They lost a good coach and replaced him with Simple Jack. They are loaded with talent but it is so mismanaged that they are frustrated to no end.

I call it the CORNDOG CONUNDRUM.

What is Les gonna do as our coach? Time will tell. His mark is all over the program now. The first 3 years he was terrific. The he goes 14-10 the last 3 SEC seasons with 0 SEC West Titles. That is an unimpressive conference record. Where is the program going? Can Les first make it back to Atlanta and then possible win the SEC Title? If not a whole bunch of wins with no titles aren't nearly as meaningful.

Ignorant people ten to voice their opinion louder than others... I wouldn't generalize all of us in with the miles haters.

Every school would be happy with offenses ranking in the 90's and 100's when your defense is a Top 10...

Because LSu fans like most in the south actually understand the game and know when they see a coach underperforming in certain situations. W/L mean a great deal but how you acheive those is usually a good indicator of the future of the team. I really like Miles he is a great guy and a pretty good coach, but I am not upset at all he decided to stay. I will say on a personal note I think he messed up not taking the job at Michigan but only because it is his alma mater and I know he would have loved to restore his old school back to its former glory. In the end I think he may regret making the business decision and staying at the better job.

You will never understand because u r a Rebel fan. You guys accept mediocricy. We do not. We hold our coaches accountable. Until you have reached the success that LSU has, you will never understand why we aren't ever completely satisfied.

Like LSU fans need an Ole Miss fan telling us what we should be satisfied with!

We know Bear fans are happy to share an SEC West title(eventhough it was with the team who beat you)

Vast but over-exposed minority complain about Miles, Crowton is a different story.
Having expectations that exceed beating MS St can sometimes breed discontent.

I know this is hard for Ole Miss fans to understand, but yes, LSU goes into every game thinking we should win. Same can be said for all elite programs, like Alabama, Oklahoma, and Ohio State. Miles may not win pretty, but as long as he keeps LSU at a consistent 10+ wins per year, we're in good shape.
