I think he's picked up all of Les Miles' bad luck. Seriously...Miles gets all the bounces and calls his way (seemingly)...
Dooley apparently banged some Karma god's daughter and now is reaping his just rewards.
I love it...both the Miles ridiculous luck...and Dooley's ridiculous misfortune

Haha. The anti-miles. That's funny

Dooley has been on the opposite sidelines of the two worst clock management meltdowns of the season, and both of them were bailed out by referees (of course one was too many UT players). No way UNC should be allowed another play after that crap. I don't care when the ball hit the turf. You should not be allowed to spike the ball with 14 men on the field, and only 6 of them set.

Jesus, once bounce in one of his 78 games at LSU and all of a sudden he "gets all the bounces"

the point is: things almost always seem to go his way
Things often comically shite on Dooley...which is really all I could ever hope for.

Dude, I'm a huge LSU fan, and even I can admit that Les has a horseshoe up his butt. Go rewatch the 2007 season. Better yet, just look at the box scores on Championship Saturday of that year and tell me that Les isn't the luckiest coach in America.

I disagree with your assessment.

LSU and UNC's total inneptness at clock management should have cost them those games. I can't belive that you feel that UNC should be given any breaks for the last 16 seconds of that game. They had the freaking field goal kicker and holder lined up behind the QB for crying out loud.

Davis' luck > Miles' luck on that running play at the end, if you go back to the '09 Ole Miss game. He lived to tell about it,but that was a dumb call.
Tennessee 2010 was just snake-bitten going back to Kiffin's departure. Just wasn't their year.

I'm not saying Miles is a bad coach...he's up there on the coaching plateau, he's good enough to be a good coach, but he's not a great coach...just good enough...
luck has been a significant factor in his success...
however, I think 60-75% of coaching is recruiting...its a lot easier to look like a brilliant all-timer of a coach when (for example) Tim Tebow is your quarterback than when (for example) John Brantley is your quarterback.
and Les Miles is a very good recruiter.

It really makes no difference. 6-7/7-6. No difference IMO.

It is crazy that they lose a game because they have 13 men on the field and lose on because the other team has too many men on the field.
