I think you missed this part:
quote:

There was no evidence that Auburn University had anything to do with that or the student-athlete had anything to do with that, and under the rules that exist today, he could play ball."

So... we cool.

So, you are saying that no money changed hands?

You are a blind homer if you actually believe that.

Who the hell actually believes that Cam didn't know anything other than Auburn fans?

Cecil is happy, he's getting what he wants. And so is Cam, he's also getting what he wants. I'm just wondering what Auburn is gonna get after Cam and Cecil are both gone.

I don't think the NCAA actually believes this either--they just haven't proven it yet. So the prostitute didn't know about the pimp?

Well, I suppose that will have to do. Either way, good news for AU.

Sounds like nothing if the NCAA president is to be given any credibility. Not sure if he has discussed things with W&L or BlueTuna though.

Why aren't Auburn fans outraged at Cecil Newton? There has been a surprising lack of "anger" from Auburn fans towards Cecil, considering what he did could have very well made Cam have to sit, or Auburn vacate wins. Just because Auburn gets off free doesn't mean nobody did anything wrong. That's why I'm confused by the mass "ALL IN" support of the Newton family.

Question-If there was no wrong doing, why is the ncaa putting in a new bylaw to prevent it?

I think most AU fans are upset with what Cecil did and have condemned it. I have at least. He put AU and his son in a bad position. On the other hand, if he didn't eff things up at MSU by trying to get $, I don't think Cam would have ended up at AU, so there is a silver lining from my perspective.

auburn fans will say "you can't prove that Cam/Auburn knew anything about the money. Everyone else will say "you can't prove that Cam/Auburn didn't know anything about the money" And by the phrase innocent until proven guilty, auburn gets away with this. I still feel that it's going to blow up it just may take a little bit longer

No one has claimed there was no wrong doing in the entire situation, just that AU did nothing wrong and there is no proof that Cam knew about the wrong things Cecil did. Is that hard to understand?

Maybe because Auburn hasn't won a football National Title since the Eisenhower administration? Different story if Auburn were 8-4.
