So the BCS was supposed to tell the Big East "Sorry, rules are rules but we won't abide by our rules this year because your conference produced such a sorry arse champion so GTFO"

still don't get why lsu fans think we are assholes. These type of threads outnumber threads talking shite about lsu at least 4:1.

I don't have a problem with any of these teams in BCS bowls. I fully expect Arkansas to represent the SEC well. I do expect UConn to lose to OU in the Fiesta but it might be closer than expected. I also think Wisconsin will beat TCU but TCU certainly deserves to be in the Rose Bowl and I expect a competitive game.

I don't think they should lose their AQ status, but at the very least, there should be a stipulation regarding the records for the AQ's. There are always a handful of 1- and 2-loss teams that would deserve the bid over a 4-loss team.

Completely agree with this. I'd let the MWC into the BCS as well as long as you limit it to the team being in the top 20 in the BCS standings or something. TCU should be automatically in, but no way should UConn be there.

This I agree with. Arky and TCU being garbage I disagree with. UConn - what a joke. Conferences having an automatic qualifier is the garbage imo. There are what, 5 BCS bowl games? I think the top 10 teams should be playing in them regardless of what conference they come from. If the SEC had four of the top ten then then all four should be in a BCS game.
No doubt the only way the NCAA could get the conferences to support the current format and avoid a playoff system was to have the AQ system put in place. It's all about "show me the money". As in politics, the mighty suffer and the weak gets a handout.
