Predictions:

Ole Miss at Miami
Boston University at Kentucky
Old Dominion at Florida
Houston at LSU
Florida Atlantic at Mississippi St
Middle Tennessee St at Tennessee
Georgia Southern at Auburn

Most interesting matchup is Miami and Ole Miss. Miami was awful last year in the regular season, but showed out in the ACC tournament. They have the players to upset the Bears

Houston and LSU are pretty much even teams. I like the cougars though. They did beat Nichols State.

Can Auburn upset 2-5 Georgia Southern, should be an exciting match up on the plains.

Florida game is a toss up too, ODU has a solid basketball team. I think UF will win in the end, but it will be a close game.

UT and UK will roll, not sure about State.

Isn't it still football season? Has UT officially become a b-ball school?

Fo sho. At least not until 12/18 when Sidney gets out of NCAA jail.

I'd damn sure rather squeak by these "lesser" teams than blow some out and lose to some. We are in survival mode until Bost and Sid get back.

When it's all said and done, I think this Auburn team could be one of the worst in the modern era of the SEC (1965-present). Luckily, they play an incredibly weak non-conference schedule. But when you've lost to the likes of Campbell and Samford, I'm not sure that you can pencil in any game on their schedule as a win.

Good news for UT...Sophomore Marquette Transfer Jeronne Maymon could be eligible for the Vols by Dec. 11

Front court gets little deeper.

Maymon is a PF, and was the number 47 player in the 2009 class. He played about a quarter of his freshman season at Marquette before transferring to UT.

I'll have to see him play well to believe this. He looked like absolute shite in the scrimmage. Lazy, out of shape, no inside game. Hopefully he has stopped being a lazy arse. Dee Bost is the most important player on our team. We'll see what we're made of when he gets back.

With the young Tigers(4 of the top nine or freshmen; no seniors on team) it's all about the perimeter shots. When they fall they will be tough to beat because TJ has them playing solid defense. Lost by nine on the road to Memphis yet lost at home by nine to Nichols as you said. Inconsistant with the freshman starting back-court but alos entertaining in most of the early games. If Stringer and Turner are both on(they have been in 3 of the 6 games) then LSU beats Houston handily. If only one of them is on it will be a tough game. If neither is on(see Nichols again)then the Cougars will win.

Memphis is vastly overrated.

Will Barton is nothing compared to what he was ranked coming out of highschool.

They only have one true post player in Tarik Black.

Will Coleman is garbage and Angel Garcia tries to stand behind the three point line the entire time he plays.

Jelan Kendrick is no longer on the team, he was definitely a factor when the media were putting together pre season polls.

Third best team in the state of Tennessee right now.

Any team with a couple of decent big men are going to ravage Memphis.

Yah, I haven't watched Fla Atlantic play this year, and honestly had no idea they played the Gators that close.

Wouldn't be surprised to see State win another close on at home.

The good thing about these teams we have been "playing close at home" they all should have good RPIs and that will help us later in the season as long as we keep beating them.

App State is like 13th in the RPI

601 Florida Atlantic is not one of those teams though. It will probably be a close game but they are not a team that will help us. They may have played a good game against Florida but they have lost to Portland and American University. They are 3-4. They are 139th in ppg, 239th in rpg, 292 in apg, and 224 in fg pct. They should not be able to stay on the floor with us, but they will.

*If you consider it an upset.

Vegas line is in favor of Ole Miss, so I didn't

When I watched you guys Friday, it looked like a totally different team from last year. Kennedy controlled everything on the offensive side of the ball. Everyone was on the same page, and the offense was very organized. There was also tons of hustle. I wish our coach had that kind of control over his team, but he is clueless. I wouldn't count Kennedy out just yet.
