I definitely don't think he's going anywhere this year, and that has nothing to do with the point I'm making. I don't think an NFL team is stupid enough to give him another shot, not even Jerry Jones.
The fans did not start complaining till he bolted for the Dolphins and then to Alabama, which is when their "voice" got loude

Sometimes it's good to congratulate and encourage someone for a great effort even if the results aren't quite what they should be. For instance, if a salesman lands a big sale of 100k, congratulate and encourage rather than tearing down the effort because the 100k was the lowest proposal of three. Here's what I mean, it appeared to me that the guys came out defeated, kinda like "Dang we just played the half of the season and he's still not happy." Yeah we should have been up 42-7 or so but had some unlucky bounces, poor decisions, and mental errors that caused it to be 24-7. It seemed to me that they were screamed at and berated for it and caused them to come out defeated and disappointed. Maybe, if this is what happened, Saban should look at praising the guys for working hard every once in a while. Don't know, just me and what I think.

football is a game of momentum.
Bama had the edge early in with emotion
Plus Auburn got back 2 important d lineman in the 2nd half

LSU rotated 3 quarterbacks in and out of the line-up.
2...Flynn only played a few plays in the bowl because Russell was in the doghouse. Beat Oregon St. because their kicker chocked and hung on for dear life vs. Troy and Ole Miss. Lost to Auburn largely because he mis-managed the QB rotation.

I'm not buying that your 2 d linemen made that big of an impact. I know points were left off the board, that's not an excuse either.
The second half was played not to lose rather than to win. The offense looked scared to take chances, much like AU in the first half.
Bama has/had all the potential in the world to score 40+ if the game is called consistently. They always let off the gas. Most of the time they can escape with a win, other times this shite happens.

J Lee comes in for one play after JJ gets hurt in the 4th quarter and uncorks a 42 pass to ice the game. AJ Mccarron comes in for Ginger needing to get to field goal range and he falls apart going 0-4.
Well duh,no shite. Lee has been around the block once or twice. He ain't exactly a freshman. Need I remind you of ALL the PICK 6 passes he threw,in year 08,on his home field? Bet you were not singing his praises then,if you were around

Yea that was what I was talking about when I said that Saban teams with a lead play scared instead of instinctively. Ingram knew he fricked up by fumbling. Richardson knew he fricked up with the dropped pass. Yelling all damn day and harping about what you are doing wrong without equally building you up for doing something right will wear you down and destroy the natural instincts that great players rely on.
When a shark smells blood, does it start thinking about the process and all the things that could go wrong? Hell no, it fricking goes into attack mode and finishes the kill. It doesn't think at all. It does what it instinctively knows to do. Auburn was bleeding and needed one more bite to be finished, but Alabama is a team of robots, not sharks.

difference is LSU had the lead and Bama had to score, much easier to defend.

He lost his entire defense from last year. I seriously doubt many coaches would do as well as he did. They could've won every one of their three losses. Most teams winning the MNC have the same problems he had this year yet its all Saban's fault. Right. Same problem Belicheck faced last year when he replaced most of his defense. Now look at the Patriots this year.

I'm sorry did belechick blow a 24-0 lead?
Remember - most of the media was saying Alabama doesn't have down years they have enough talent to reload every year

What the heck are you talking about. We have leadership issues on this team. We did pretty good the two years before that.

Saban is a builder of programs, not a maintainer.

he hasn't stayed anywhere long enough to know. But i truly believe he likes to build more than maintain. he'll go to Penn State or such in a couple of years and do the same thing.

Why are Saban coached teams incapable of playing with the lead?

Good point,I really never thought about it that way. Could explain why they were so flat to start 2nd half

Bama will be back. I'm not worried about that. The talent is too much. But I still think the Saban process is more of an assembly manual than a maintenance manual.

The "process' thing Bammers keep throwing out is hilarious.
Everyone who knows football knows there is a formuala to winning.
Saban didn't invent anything new. he just micromanages his players into submission

quote:Possible but the workers still need to perform when called upon. Now that being said, I don't think they should be expected to perform to perfection to win. When you let off the gas the way we did yesterday, that's what you're expecting and I don't think that's possible. NFL teams can't do that.

Because Saban is overrated...LSU fans tried to tell you guys this before, but nobody wanted to listen...all you wanted to do was start counting how many National Titles you would win....still a good coach, but not what everybody tried to make him out to be....NOT STATUE WORTHY...
