What are the odds that the NCAA will rule Cam Newton ineligible prior to the SECCG next week? Wouldn't that make the winner of the LSU/ARK the SEC west champion?

Not if 'Bama also defeats AU today. Then it would be a 3-way SECW title(Shades of Ole Miss) and 'Bama would win the tie-breaker .

I think the odds are 100% that Auburn will not play in that game

Hey Doc,
I'm hearing some rumors that, if true, would suggest the chance is much higher than this.
These rumors are coming from a prominent TAF member, but regardless....take with a grain of salt.
I, for one, am not getting my hopes up. Will assume these rumors are not true until confirmed.

The question is: how is the SEC gonna get all those tickets sold to Auburn fans back so LSU fans can get them.

I have heard the same rumors....apparantly phone calls have been made to coaches of LSU and ARK to be prepared to play South Carolina in case the findings are in prior to SECCG

How do you have a three way tie, does Alabama get to cancel one of their TWO losses by beating Auburn?

We could be in a 3-way tie if we lose to Arkansas, with Alabama (6-2) and Arkansas (6-2), assuming Alabama wins today and LSU & Arkie don't have losses to Auburn overturned.
In that case, it would seem that Alabama would go on the basis of its 4-1 record versus the SEC West.
EDIT: Arkansas could still be in contention for the SECCG assuming that Auburn beats Bama but is not allowed to go to the SECCG at 7-1.

Auburn will end up on probation, but this will take months if not years. The travesty is that Auburn continues to play Cam knowing he will be declared ineligible and denying another school an opportunity to play in the SECCG and the National Championship game.
