Would any barners have a problem with this?

Seriously, you have the eagle at the game...every barner I know or encounter always goes with war eagle; never mention tiger...war eagle is completely unique.

Why not just Auburn War Eagle?

Because Heisman gave us that name in reference to "The Deserted Village" by Oliver Goldsmith, the poem from which the city of Auburn takes its name.

And also the city's nickname, "The Loveliest Village on the Plains"

Where crouching tigers prey on lovely men in the deserted village - or whatever.

Yeah, that is just so...

...lovely.

Kinda sounds like the wrong end of Bourbon St.

Everytime I am in that Stadium and that Bird sets sail across from one end to the other it sends chills down my spine and think it is the coolest pregame mascot show in College Football. I can not for the life of me understand why yall do not demand it to be yals sole mascot because of the beauty and the signifigance of it every time that Bird flies across that Stadium.

Maybe after y'all serve your one year Death Penalty, y'all come back as the Opelika War Eagles.

It would be good for branding.

Kinda like how AIG changed their name after their Board of Trustees royally fricked up / cheated.

Rogers Heritage High just north of here is blue and orange, and their mascot is the War Eagles.

I never get this either. There's way too many tigers out there, and we've got one too many in the conference.

I propose that next year, loser of the LSU-Auburn game has to change their mascot.

If LSU loses, they should change to the Tiger Droppings
