The Newtons' attorney, George Lawson, told WSB-TV of Atlanta on Thursday that he is "1 million percent" certain Cam Newton -- who signed with Auburn -- did not take any money. Lawson says if Cecil Newton discussed money, his son "knew nothing" about it.
Lawson told the Atlanta TV station that the Auburn quarterback has not taken any money in exchange for playing college football.
"No money has been offered to Cam Newton," Lawson told WSB-TV. "Cam Newton [hasn't] asked for any money."
hmmmmm. . .
Sounds like. . .

"I'm not worried about any of these allegations or anything like that, because I know what the truth is, like I said from day one," Bush said after a Saints practice. "Once the smoke clears, everybody's going to see we did nothing wrong."

that is correct Cam Newton did not ask for nor receive money, but his father did. So, that makes him an ineligible player according to the SEC bylaws. What a retard.

Cam's lawyer denied it. . .therefore it didn't happen.

It sure didn't take you long to become a bad poster, did it? What is it now, two days?

So just because 2 people independent of each other deny allegations and 1 was proven guilty means the other is guilty? Interesting logic.

If the payoff don't fit...
You must acquit!
Was it 180k or 250k?
Depends... if the Uncle up in Michigan got his 70k off the top.

Don't give up on me yet cyde... I've only seen that posted 300 times this week on every sports board on the net. Sorry If it annoys you that I called a snoozer a snoozer. I hate Reggie Bush because his and his schools cheating (probably) cost Auburn a National Title in 04'. I assure you that if Cameron Newton/Cecil Newton cost Auburn one in 11', I will hate them just as much, if not more.:)

I don't understand how the Reggie Bush case is all that relevant to this one. Other than the Heisman implications, of course.

What the attorney claimed is that cam took no money from noone. Which is correct he took it from someone.

No, you should be lambasted for not seeking to raise the level of the discourse. You can only control your own actions.

In effect it was required that I lower said level of discourse for what should be obvious reasons.

To start, two lying arrogant pricks who knew they were ineligible and would be be making millions in the NFL before anything came down.
