ever turned out to be false? I can't recall allegations like this ever amounting to nothing. I am all ears if another allegation of this magnitude turned out to be nothing.

Not really. I guess you could make the argument about the Duke lacrosse team but no rumors like this

Auburn is arguably the best team in the nation on its way to a national championship, and Cam Newton is without a doubt the best player in the nation & favored to win the Heisman. And a mid-season scandal is breaking out that could rock them both.
I think this situation is unprecedented.

Not all of this is "rumor". Cecil Newton did try to pimp his son to Miss. St. Whether or not he sold his son to Auburn or not is the open question. But it is a FACT that he was shopping his son to at least one SEC team.

This is truly a unique situation. I don't see how there is any way this much smoke yields zero fire. We are witnessing one of the biggest stories in NCAA history unfold IMO.

Your right it has to be true so screw waiting for the facts. Let's condemn the kid now. Condemning him now is that important it cannot wait for things like investigations to be completed.
