quote:

Whether he's tied to Cam spefically isn't the point. They suspect he might be part of a PFP scheme.

If "he" from your quote above is McGregor, the bold section below refutes that he had any part in a pay for play scheme whatsoever. All I'm saying is if you're going to go on trial under federal indictments by the FBI, you don't release that kind of statement unless it's absolute. You're better off saying "no comment" if there's something there.

From the article...

McGregor attorney Joe Espy issued a statement Wednesday that strongly denied any involvement by McGregor. "Contrary to postings on celebrity and sports blogs, Milton McGregor has never had any contact direct or indirect with Cam Newton,

Cecil Newton -- Cam's father -- (agent) Kenny Rogers or anyone purporting to represent Cam Newton,'' the statement said. "Mr. McGregor has never been asked to provide money for any recruitment or compensation of any current or perspective student athlete including Cam Newton at Auburn or any other school, and has never provided any type of compensation in that regard period no exceptions."

well. His attorney said he's innocent. I guess the Justice Dept can dismiss buying votes charges against him too, he said he was innocent of that also.
