After Georgia State we'll be 9-2. It's hard to be dispointed with that. We're young on defense, and have had poor line play on both sides of the ball. If we get to 10 wins I'll be happy.

What's everyone's opinion on our season?

Shi* man. Pre-Saban. We'd give our nuts to have a 10 win season. It is still a great season.

We can actually expect to win the national title every year. It isn't that far out there. However, we all know that you can't win every year.

I'm happy about the season.

I keep telling these freshman that they just can't understand, they didn't lose to ULM.

We're just not as good of a team this year. I thought we'd be really good, but we just aren't. Your offense had their way with us in the second half.

I am perfectly fine with our season thus far. If we beat AU, then that will make me happy.

If that is what makes a "failure" then Auburn has been a failure for its entire existence. Congrats!

The only thing I'm pissed about this year is the OL. Our run blocking since the Florida game has been pretty comical. Mark Ingram averaged 2.8 yds on Saturday. Our RB's have NO chance.

Your WR's vs our DB's was a HORRIBLE mismatch. Combine that with the fact we're like the worst team in the SEC at getting to the QB and you get your answer.

entering the year I thought 9-3 or 10-2 was what Alabama fans should expect... at that time most bama fans considered that jealousy or hating on bama

but there was real turnover and in general Saban's teams follow exceptional years with a down year and then rebound the year after

So this is about what Bama fans should have expected... watching it play out and knowing how talented they are I found it hard not to consider them under-achieving... but in all fairness I think that's more a function of them winning it all last year than any reasonable standard

You just don't capture lightning in a bottle every year

yeah, our OLine has really been the only thing that has really disappointed me this season. It has been pretty pathetic. It is ironic too, because in '09 our OLine was supposed to be a major weak spot, but it ended up being incredible, and this year everyone expected it to be beastly again, but was a major weak spot. I guess sometimes you just never can tell.

Bama lost to an immensely talented LSU team, in Death Valley, who finally put it together on offense. No shame in that. We're NOT gonna win the NC every year, or even the SEC title. If we win 10 games a year removed from a national title, I would consider that a good season. How easily some people forget the Dubose/Franchione/Shula years.

I pissed my pants when we went 10-3 with Shula so I am now very pleased that an off year may result in 10 wins. Quite a change in mindset, I would say.
