Pulled the Auburn/UGA line that was up this morning...
Really upset I didn't jump the gun on this one.
So who wins the west now?
Might not be a credible source but why else would they pull the line?

Because of irresponsible tweeting out of Dallas. Chizik just said in his press conference that Newton was playing Saturday.

you retards who think that vegas pulling the lines means that Newton is definitely sitting are wrong.
it just means that Vegas doesn't like the uncertainty.
No different than if Tom Brady was questionable for Sunday's game - they'd pull the line until closer to gametime.

They pull lines whenever there is uncertainty. This has nothing to do with whether or not Cam Newton's actually ineligible. When they make the decision one way or the other, they will bring the line back up. When LSU was playing UNC this year, they pulled the lines midweek, but put them back up once all the suspensions were finalized.

Let's be realistic here.
It's Wednesday. News has been breaking every day of the week on this, each day looking more and more bleak. Sure, Chizik said that Newton is playing. He's playing as of the time that he made the statement. Who knows what tomorrow and Friday will bring?
In all fairness, tomorrow and Friday may bring nothing but good news.
I wouldn't count on it, though.

If there's enough uncertainty for them to pull a line over this then you can't deny there is something to this. Everyone pulling the Auburn line should be a good indicator, tweet or not, there's someone "in the know" besides this random Dallas reporter saying he won't play.
If you and I know this reporter "mistweeted" Vegas knew and hour ago and yet the line is still gone.
