Alright South Carolina fans, I need your help! What is the name of that damn infamous techno song that is played in William Brice Stadium? I cannot find out the name of it anywhere! The song is played when all of the south carolina fans in the stadium are jumping around swinging their white terrible towels; its usually after South Carolina just scored and they are lining up to kick off to the opposing team.

Note: I'm not talking about the 2001 Space Odyssey song when they run out (aka Rick Flair's theme song).

Sandstorm. Wanderlei Silva has epic entrances in Japan with that song.

Do they play Zombie Nation? I know Georgia Tech and Auburn do, along with dozens of other teams.

Must be that association between the Silva arse beatings and the music. RE your band, I don't recall, it was many moons ago I was in Williams Bryce kimosabe. Anyway, I'm just not "techno tolerant".

It has the same effect in Japan. I have been crowds of 60,000 plus clapping to that song in unison.

Me either, really, but the stadium gets crazy when they play it. Hard not to like it, being a Gamecock.

Having music piped in to a college football stadium is blasphemy, gay and grounds for suicide.

How far removed can you be from the greatest traditions that make college football all that it is when you have iTunes blaring over speakers with what is 99.9% of the time some of the most cliche, corny shite ever?

I'm not even a traditionlist either. They are doing it more and more at Razorback stadium and I want to kill myself everytime they do it.

P.S. The VTech entrance with Metallica is the most ghey and cliche of them all. Painfully unoriginal, eternally trashy and about as corny as it gets.

1,000,000% agree with you there. The only thing that should come out of the speakers at (college) stadiums is the announcer's voice, IMO.

Baba O'Reilly in Athens chaps my arse to no end as well. Especially when one considers the lyrics (which obviously must not have been the case during the "selection process").

Same process for me and I graduated in 2007. Apparently that's still the case to this day.

Baba O'Reilly

Doesn't belong in a college football setting, but great song

Techno is gay... and "Sandstorm" is too. But even the old folks get off their arse and go crazy when it comes on, so I can deal with it.
