Auburn vs. LSU

Game of the week...regardless of what all the flamers say this is going to be a good one. I don't see one team dominating the other. The number 1 rushing offense vs the number 1 rushing defense. Number 4 vs Number 6. It doesn't get much better than this. There are going to be elevenity billion flaming threads this week...they started last week...but before the smack talk gets to far...heres to a great game...

Your rationality and sportsmanship are as welcome as they are atypical of posts here. I still have fond memories of fall weekends spent at Auburn while I was doing the IOBC at Ft. Benning (not so much because of my affection for the school as for a luscious graduate student who, I think, is still on the faculty). I hope the game lives up to its billing.
And LSU wins, of course.

I remember several years ago, after an AU win over LSU, one of the students got the LSU tigers flag from out of the stadium and had it pinned to Wire Road for the traffic to drive over. Hope they remember to grab it Saturday.

That's going to be hard to do isn't it? AU took down the flags of the SEC a few years back and I haven't seen them since. I know out seats in section 39 were always under the Vandy flag, but for the last few years it has been the 2004 SEC championship flag flying over us.

I got into a discussion about this last year as well, and I think it was pointed out that the SEC flags are now in the other endzone across from the student section if I recall correctly.

No kidding! The #1 team in the BCS in its only real test before the Big 12 Championship over a venue they've already been to once this season? What an absurd choice!

I wouldn't be surprised if we win, but I also wouldn't be shocked if we lose by 17-21....This game could get away from us quick if we turn the ball over.
