Yes, players with the skill set of Cameron Newton are plentiful.

I think there are more guys at the high school level with those abilities playing the QB position now than has been the case in the past. Mcelroy was sacked 8 times against SC. He has no chance to do anything other than get sacked or throw the ball away when he is pressured. I like him but having a QB like that limits an offense. Ryan Mallet for all his skills as a QB has the same limitation. When he is pressured consistently in games he often loses. The guy is not a running threat and cannot create when pass plays break down.

The biggest factor that separates Cam from the other 1000 dual threat QB's is the fact he runs people over. On the scrambles he will get 3-5 yards more per run by not going out of bounds and running you over.
