your build can't do squat to save you from knee injury. sure, he may not get some cracked ribs etc, but its knees, ankles and other joints that are the issue.

I am not saying Alabama needs a Netwon clone but having someone who could at least run for a first down when passing plays are well covered would be nice to have. I don't think Alabama needs to have designed runs for the QB in their offense but having someone who can run for first downs would be nice.

Not sure if there are a lot of 6'6" 250 lb sub 4.6 40 QBs out there.

Now if you are talking about athletes that commit the criminal acts I think Tenn, Georgia, and Florida have that market cornered.

Sorry couldn't resist that one.

He has turned out to be really good.

But he is still a goofy Carlton Banks looking dude.

He's a good QB, BC.

I like ours (JJ & JL) cuz they're Tigers, but I'd love to have a proven pocker passer OR dual threat guy under center.

One hit on his knee and your whole season has change from chicken salad to chicken shite. It's like playing Russian Roulette.

You're right. Only running QB's ever get knee/ankle/other joint injuries.

You missed the point. All your eggs are in one basket. Not that you had a choice.

The fact that you don't seem to think that Mike Dyer is an excellent running back or that Darvin Adams is an excellent WR (in addition to McCallebb, Zachary, Blake, Fannin, Lutzenkirchen), well, I just can't help ya.

You want a better example of "all eggs in one basket"? Defining yourself as a power running team with great running backs and getting that part of your game STOPPED STONE COLD. You could see the results of that in a game just this weekend.

I'm with you, Cam Newton is an incredible weapon but he's not a one man show.
