The Coker comparison is a popular comparison thrown out to Miles. But if you really wanna compare him to someone, I think it's Fat Phil. Heck, he's got Chavis as his DC just like he did.

But you know, just in the sense of finding ways to pull games out of his arse.

Really though, this guy is one of a kind I think.

Fulmer was twice the coach that Miles is right now. Fulmer's problem was recruiting. UT had to recruit nationally. Miles has the state that produces the most NFL talent per capita in his back yard. The corridor from Baton Rouge to New Orleans has produced some of the greatest football talent in the nation at all three levels of football.

That's the comparison I always thought was the best for Miles. He reminds me a lot of Phil Fulmer especially after 1998. But I don't think LSU's decline is going to be quite as bad. Tennessee had several years when they didn't even qualify for a bowl game and were getting their asses kicked by the likes of Maryland when they did qualify for the post season. But they're similar in that their days of having a national championship contender are over.

No, he's Coker in the sense that he's wasting talent and dragging the team down further each year. He's not as bad though. He didn't inherit as good of a team as Coker, and he even if he's ruining what Saban did at LSU, it's not as bad as absolutely destroying the work done in 20 years by Schnellenberger, Johnson, Erickson, and Davis in a 5 year span. Coker was the absolute worst thing to happen to Miami.
