Ole Miss PC administration's attack on tradition

In our politically correct world, there is an open season on anything southern, e.g., confederate statues, flags, and anything else that even remotes symbolizes the south. I won't even bring up the Kappa Alpha figurative lynching by the PC bullies.
The Ole Miss administration's attack on tradition started in the late 1980s with the removal of the Confederate battle flag and has incrementally progressed to today's attempt to remove the Rebel mascot and name. We all know the name "Ole Miss" will be next on the chopping block (plantation term for the house's matriarch).
This raping of our southern heritage has been carried out by a PC administration that seems to be above accountability. My question for any of you, who appoints/removes the administration? I.e., who can be held responsible for the actions that are clearly unsupported by the alumni, student body, and state?

Some things should just be left alone. PC is killing our Country from the inside. Heritage is Heritage. You can't rewrite history, good or not so good.

I mean, I am as pissed about the traditions being taken away as the next guy but:
1. Did you really have to start this thread? Seriously.
2. If we weren't an awful football team right now this thread wouldn't exist.

If Ole Miss wants to have an all white football team, then sure, bring out the confederate flags and sing the south will rise again at games with your plantation master leading the cheer until you lose your voices.
Whatever works for you guys.

I kind of don't get it. I mean, the "confederate flag" is not really a symbol of Southern heritage. It became prominent as a rallying symbol against desegregation. A "truer" symbol would be the state flags as they existed at the time of, or shortly after secession, or perhaps the Bonnie Blue Flag or the first CSA Flag.
Also, it also ignores that most Southern states also had people who remained loyal to the USA. Finally, the whole "Plantation mysitique" that the Ole Miss symbols appeal to represented a very small minority of people in the South at the time of the War (i.e., the aristocracy), so it's not like they represent a wide array of Southerners.
Finally, as one poster has already said, if you want to have an all white team, feel free.
