Nevis.........damn, that is all.

Haven't seen enough to say we're the best in the land or even the SEC, but it is definitely nice to see the dline making tackles on running plays, as opposed to watching our secondary making them last year.

SO, because they have Nevis they are the top DLine in America?

If they continue doing something similar to what they've done so far against the muderer's row that awaits them, how could anyone deny that they would be?
That's a mighty big "if"....but there's no question our DL has vastly improved since last season- and is one of the quickest we've had in quite some time....
The battle between Bama-LSU in the trenches is going to be epic. That's going to be a game within the game.

not according to cfn. ole miss is better.
"The Commodore offensive line has struggled allowing seven sacks in the first two games, and while Northwestern and LSU have a good pass rush, they aren’t Ole Miss when it comes to getting to the quarterback."
wow. lsu's d line is about as good as northwestern but not nearly as good as the rebel juggernaut rolling through college football in 2010
regardless, it is a strong unit with good depth.

well also Montgomery, Mingo, Brockers, Downs, etc. but don't worry about these guys. Focus only on Nevis.

I dont think anybody in America has anything on Tyron Nix's LANDSHARK defense

Nevis is lining up right on top of the ball every play this year and his jump looks great!

Maybe the chiefs will draft him to have an all LSU Dline...

they are definitely much improved and if they ended up in the top 10 dline's at the end of the year it wouldnt shock me.
not about to say best in the land after two games though.

If LSU's defense has 4 or more sacks vs Mississippi State I will give them props.

pretty ambiguous stat from this guy since 6 of those sacks came from lsu.

i will too. 4 sacks is no easy feat in a game. As long as they are getting good pressure though im not so worried about sacks.

As far as getting to the QB, we are 2nd in the SEC behind LSU.

Guess one or two more sacks wouldn't have hurt in that first game...

Nice quote on the rant that was given by Kelvin Sheppard on two redshirt freshman ends. Article is from Scooter Hobbs in todays American Press.
quote:
"I think Mingo and Montgomery are probably fast enough to play safety and maybe corner at a lot of schools in the country" Sheppard said. "If you line them up next to some of our safeties, I'll put my money on them."
