Why do people keep giving QB's credit for things their team did.

Greg McElroy did not beat Texas, Alabama beat Texas.

W-L is an important stat no doubt, but as far a judging the effectiveness of a QB, what he contributes to the result is far more important than the result.

None of us here ever made a stupid decision when we were 22/23. If Nutt wasn't nuts, he would have found the kid a sports' psychologist like Skip Bertman did a few years ago when his pitching staff went in the tank. The kid has the physical stuff to play. He is a head case. I hate it for him (now that he is gone from Ole Miss) but live and learn. There was a way to make this kid succeed. Hell, if they can teach Powe to read, surely they could have gotten in Snead's head and make a difference. Sad deal!
