Could this end up being alot closer of a compeition than some make it sound? How suprised would you guys be if Sims starts in 2011?

I wouldn't be surprised is Simms transferred. He is too good to sit at Alabama for the next three years behind AJ McCarron. I think AJ is good but so is Sims and I am worried that he may transfer. I have no info, this is just a gut feeling.
He is from Tennessee and they actually have a decent person as a coach now and he may look toward home.
Just a thought.

Sims wont start at Alabama because he doesn't fit the "Alabama profile" for QBs

I wouldn't.....I saw AJ play in high school. Don't get me wrong, he was good, the best QB they have ever had, but I don't think he's as good as everyone makes him out to be (based on his high school performance, he could have improved drastically while at Bama, I haven't been following his progress)

Who was the last African-American QB for Bama? Zow? What has that been, ten years ago? Who was the last AA QB before Zow? I cannot think of any.

I hear people say that Bama doesn't play black QB's, but I in my lifetime they have had Zow, Woodson, Sutton and Lewis all start. Palmer even started at QB when Barker was hurt. I may be leaving someone off.
